About Me

Hey friends! I’m Molly Coyne, a New York City-based artist and illustrator who has loved to draw since the day I could say “crayola”.

I have always loved to tell stories with pictures and doodle as much as I possibly could. SO much, in fact, that my third grade teacher began subtracting points off my tests for each doodle on the page. Did that stop me? …absolutely not.

My love of doodles sparked my love of illustration, and I think my third grade self would be happy to see that I have pursued a career in visual arts. I would describe my style as whimsical, goofy, and magical, with a hint of “Where’s Waldo” attention to detail. My favorite kinds of projects are super imaginative and are just as much my brainchild as that of my client. I love the collaboration that comes with working with creative clients. My fourth picture book, “Baby Goes to Broadway”, written by Maggie Stiggers, was just released in November 2024, and you can find it on Amazon! (It is a TOP Amazon Pick in Children's Theatre Books!) And if you’d like to find a copy in person, you can get a copy at New York City’s Drama Book Shop! It was a joy to illustrate a book about theatre and tell sweet Baby Josie’s story.

In addition to Children’s Book Illustration, I have a passion for branding design. I have created the branding suites for Maid and Prince Productions, Stacks4Students, Move Radiantly, The Dance Call, and many more. I love Disney, Marvel, my kitties, Little Stink and Pabu, playing Lorcana, Animal Crossing, really good food, dessert of any kind, and of course my amazing husband, Brian.
